CASSIE RICHARDS
I’m Cassie — a photographer and mother of two, living in a season shaped by early mornings, small hands, and a deep awareness of how quickly everything changes.
Motherhood has changed the way I see. It’s slowed me down. It’s sharpened my attention. It’s made me less interested in perfection and more drawn to what feels honest, fleeting, and real.
I’m especially attuned to the quiet in-between moments — the way a child settles into themselves when they aren’t being asked to perform, the subtle shifts in expression that happen when there’s time to breathe. That sensitivity carries into every session I photograph.
My approach is simple and intentional. Sessions are calm and unrushed, with gentle direction when needed and plenty of space for children to just be. I don’t believe meaningful portraits come from forcing connection — they come from presence.
I photograph a limited number of sessions each month, allowing room for thoughtful work and an experience that feels considered from start to finish. These images are created for families who value artistry, restraint, and photographs that feel as relevant years from now as they do today.
